Community Savings Announces New Account Pricing for Craft Cannabis Cultivators
The new pricing structure will support craft cultivators in BC who still face unequal fees
Community Savings Credit Union, a leading BC credit union, is pleased to announce new pricing for cannabis craft and micro cultivators at the LIFT cannabis conference in Vancouver today.
The 18/6 account brings even more affordable and accessible banking to cannabis cultivators with micro-licenses who produce some of the best cannabis in the world, but are challenged by the current business and regulatory environment. The account can be opened and approved online, enabling cannabis businesses across BC to benefit.
“Our craft cultivator account offering has been updated to better serve micro-cultivators in BC, who continue to face both banking and regulatory hurdles,” says Mike Schilling, CEO of Community Savings Credit Union. “Craft cannabis cultivators need our support to continue to grow a truly best-in-class product in an environment where cannabis business owners still struggle with economic inclusivity.”
Named after the optimal light and darkness conditions for growing cannabis, the 18/6 account shines the light on accessible and equitable banking for cannabis. The account features a new low $99 monthly fee with 30 transactions included. Community Savings will refund the $150 application fee for cultivators after six months. The zero-cost application fee (after refund) is drastically lower than the other financial institutions that charge thousands of dollars for an application.
